Sweden, November 2025

Conny Lundström’s golden eagle photography hide is located near the village of Kalvträsk in northern Sweden. It is set in remote wilderness, surrounded by old-growth pine forests, wetlands and mountainous scenery.

In November 2025 I spent five days in the hide in temperatures around -18C, photographing the golden eagles and the other wildlife which was plentiful. It was a truly memorable photography experience. Watching these magnificent birds and animals in such a beautiful, remote setting was a real privilege. The stunning frosty landscapes provided the perfect backdrop, with snow-covered trees and delicate ice crystals creating a magical atmosphere which made for some wonderful photographic opportunities.
